Mayotte is only a few nautical miles from the Comoros, and the Guyanese border is an area of equatorial forest that is difficult to control.

The contract referred to above must be endorsed by the French authorities, which shall ensure that it is consistent both with the actual capacity of the contracting processing undertaking and with the objectives for the development of the Guyanese economy.

Voraussetzung für die Lizenzerteilung ist der Nachweis eines geltenden Vertrags zwischen dem antragstellenden Schiffseigner und einem Verarbeitungsunternehmen im Departement Französisch-Guayana, der die Verpflichtung zur Anlandung von mindestens 75 % der Schnapperfänge oder 50 % der Haifänge des betreffenden Schiffes in Französisch-Guayana vorsieht, so dass die Verarbeitung der Fänge durch das genannte Unternehmen erfolgt.Der Vertrag muss durch die französischen Behörden genehmigt werden, die gewährleisten, dass er sowohl den Verarbeitungskapazitäten des betreffenden Unternehmens als auch den Entwicklungszielen der Wirtschaft von Französisch-Guayana gerecht wird.

Together with the historian Michel Levallois she conducted research into the life of her great-grand-uncle Ismaÿl Urbain, the son of a Frenchman and a Guyanese woman, who was a Saint-Simonist, converted to Islam and became an adviser of Napoleon III. Levallois' study on Urbain elucidated the effects of traumatising social conditions on subjectivation.

Anne Levallois interessierte sich besonders für die Beziehungen zwischen Psychoanalyse, Biographie und Geschichte. Gemeinsam mit dem Historiker Michel Levallois erforschte sie das Leben ihres Urgroßonkels Ismaÿl Urbain, Sohn eines Franzosen und einer Guyanerin, der Saint-Simonist war, zum Islam konvertierte und Berater Napoleons III. wurde.
