I sincerely believe this reply is a mistake, and I ask the Council of Ministers, between now and 15 and 16 April, the scheduled dates for the meeting in La Valetta, the second Euro-Mediterranean meeting, to open up this prospect.

The shops, banks, restaurant and bars are all within walking distance from the Resort. The main bus terminal is adjacent to the Resort and takes you all the way to Valetta, the capital city. The sandy beach is only a couple of minutes by car or bus, approx. 15 minutes walk. There is a complimentary bus to the beach. Malta is both an outstanding summer vacation destination as well as a living microcosm of Mediterranean history. Besides archaeological and architectural gems Malta's great attraction are the numerous village fiestas falling mostly during summer. These festivities in honour of the village patron saint are characterized by band marches, colourful street decorations, spectacular firework displays and a religious procession where the statue of the patron saint is carried through the village streets.

Malta ist sowohl eine hervorragende Sommer Urlaubsziel als auch eine lebendige Mikrokosmos der mediterranen Geschichte. Neben große Attraktion archäologische und architektonische Kleinode Maltas sind die zahlreichen Dorf Fiestas fallen meist im Sommer. Diese Feierlichkeiten zu Ehren des Dorfes Schutzpatron von Band Märsche, bunten Straßenfest Dekorationen, spektakulären Feuerwerk und einer religiösen Prozession, wo die Statue des Schutzheiligen durch die Straßen des Dorfes getragen wird gekennzeichnet.

So if I may, I will reply to some of the speeches in order to clarify the European Commission 's attitude to the agreement with Palestine, the situation in the Middle East, and the meeting next week -Tuesday and Wednesday in La Valetta, Malta -on the Euro-Mediterranean Conference.
