It is wonderful that today we are celebrating the tenth anniversary of German unification and it is wonderful that we are today just a few years away from a great enlargement of the Union.

For us they are an incentive to send a clear message – such as the meeting of the "Fathers of Unification", George Bush, Mikhail Gorbachev and Helmut Kohl, the 20th anniversary of German Unification, with the handover of the original blueprints of the Auschwitz concentration camp to the Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu, which are on display today as the "Documents of horror" in the Yad Vashem Memorial, or the special edition on the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in the USA, which BILD produced with a 40-member team directly from New York.
