The design contract for Egypt’s first healthcare project to use the PPP procurement model has been won by Scottish architectural firm Keppie Design. Keppie won an international competition to design a series of specialist facilities for the Smouha and Mowassat Hospitals in Alexandria, Egypt's second largest city. The project includes a new 200-bed specialist facility at University Hospital, a pediatric and emergency facility at the existing Smouha Hospital complex and a new 223-bed specialist care facility near the Mowassat Hospital. The project team includes Egyptian firms Detac Construction, The Arab Academy and Bareeq Capital, as well as the UK's G4s and electronics and energy giant Siemens. All the facilities are expected to completed in 2014.

Der Planungsauftrag für die erste Gesundheits-ägyptischen Projekt, um die Vergabe von PPP-Modell verwenden, wurde von Scottish Architekturbüro Keppie Gestaltung gewonnen. Keppie gewann einen internationalen Wettbewerb um eine Reihe von spezialisierten Einrichtungen für die Smouha und Mowassat Krankenhäuser in Alexandria, Ägypten, der zweitgrößten Stadt zu entwerfen.
