The test sample shall be charged with the standard charging method to a SOC of 100%. Penetrate the test sample with a mild steel (conductive) pointed rod .electrically insulated from the penetration machine. The rod shall be 20 mm; the penetration rate about 80 mm/s. The orientation of the penetration shall be perpendicular to the electrode jelly roll inside the prismatic cell. Three cells shall be penetrated by the metallic rod. The test shall be considered “pass” in case of reaching an EUCAR-hazard level of max. 4.

Die Probe wird mit dem Standard-Ladeverfahren zu einem SOC von 100% berechnet. Durchdringen die Testprobe mit einem Weichstahl (leitend) spitze Stange. Elektrisch von der Penetration Maschine isoliert ist. Die Stange muss 20 mm betragen; die Penetrationsrate über 80 mm / s. Die Orientierung des Eindringens muss rechtwinklig zur Elektrode Geleerollenwanne innerhalb des prismatischen Zelle. Drei Zellen wird durch den Metallstab durchdrungen werden. Die Prüfung gilt als "pass" bei Erreichen eines EUCAR-Gefahrenstufe von max. 4.
