As well as staging the Games themselves, LOCOG is also responsible for a series of test events; for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of both the Olympic and Paralympic Games; for the Olympic and Paralympic Torch Relays; for the Inspire programme and the London 2012 mascots; and for the London 2012 Festival – the finale to the Cultural Olympiad.

Sowie die Inszenierung der Spiele selbst, ist LOCOG auch verantwortlich für eine Reihe von Test-Events, für die Eröffnungs-und Abschlusszeremonie sowohl der Olympischen und Paralympischen Spiele, für die Olympischen und Paralympischen Torch Relais, für die Inspire-Programm und die London 2012 Maskottchen und für den London 2012 Festival - das Finale der Cultural Olympiad.

In addition to the exhibition, a series of special events including domestic and international seminars and academic conferences such as ISO/TC217 working group conference (International Standard Organization Technical Committee for Cosmetics) and the Asean Cosmetics Forum will add greater value as experts can network and develop the cosmetics and beauty industry using the latest theories. The opening and closing ceremonies of the Expo will be held on the main outdoor stage at 6 o’clock in the evening on May 3, Friday and at the same venue in the evening on May 26, Sunday, respectively.  Die öffnenden und schließenden Zeremonien der Expo werden auf der Hauptbühne im freien am 06 am Abend am 3. Mai, Freitag und am selben Ort am Abend am 26. Mai Sonntag, bzw. stattfinden.
