The shipyards in Bremen city and in Bremerhaven/Geestemünde having built sailing ships in the 18th and 19th centuries and the biographies of the sailing ships built by there are subject of Vol. III of the trilogy "Von der Weser in die Welt". Co-editor is the Deutsches Schiffahrtsmuseum at Bremerhaven, which had published Vol. I in 1993 in its academic series.

Die Segelschiffswerften des 18. und 19. Jahrhunderts in Bremen-Stadt, Bremerhaven sowie Geestemünde und vor allem die Biographien der hier entstandenen Segelschiffe sind Gegenstand von Band III des Gesamtwerkes »Von der Weser in die Welt«. Mitherausgeber ist wie bei Band II das Deutsche Schiffahrtsmuseum in Bremerhaven, das bereits den ersten Band in seiner wissenschaftlichen Schriftenreihe herausgegeben hatte.

As early as 1947, he was entrusted with the editing of the ENT periodical Zentralblatt für Hals-Nasen-Ohrenheilkunde, published by the Springer group in Heidelberg. As co-editor, he had by the time of his death in 1990 compiled over 100 volumes on all aspects of ear, nose and throat medicine and adjoining disciplines.
