Sebastião Salgado went to several coffee plantation spots, in Brazil in 2002, India in 2003, Ethiopia in 2004, Guatemala in 2006 and Colombia in 2007. The company illycaffé had approached him to portray the coffee growers, from whom they purchase the beans, and their environment, with the aim to publish a book. The book has not yet been realized.
