A ripple of Laughter when Krupa smashed a cymbal from place in a quartet number, and Hampton caught it deftly in the air, stroking it precisely in rhythm….the coruscating sound - showers from Hampton´s vibes that culminated the first half of the concert, and the reasonable doubt that anything afterwards could come close

Von da an häuften ein Höhepunkt auf einem anderen. Ich erinnere mich an die Kritiker der Times (die am nächsten Tag schrieb: "Wenn Mr. Goodman trat, erhielt er eine echte Toscanini senden - off aus dem Publikum") Fressen, weil seine teen - minderjährige Tochter neben ihm in ihrem Sitz Prellen wurde und er fühlte sich nichts ..... a spontancous Ausbruch für James, als er seinen ersten Chor ... dito nahm für Krupa .... Eine Welle des Lachens, wenn Krupa ein Becken zertrümmert von Ort in einem Quartett-Nummer und Hampton fing es geschickt in der Luft, streichelte sie genau im Rhythmus .... die coruscating Sound - Duschen von Hamptons vibes, dass gipfelten in der ersten Hälfte des Konzerts und die begründete Zweifel, dass alles danach konnte nahe kommen
