Our aim is to provide the decision maker with a set of feasible solutions of the multicriteria optimization problem by eliminating those solutions that (a) are not Pareto-efficient, or (b) violate some predefined aspiration levels. A solution is called Pareto-efficient if there is no other solution that dominates it, where the dominance relation is defined as follows: Solution p1 dominates solution p2, if p1 is at least equally good as p2 with respect to all objective functions, and better than p2 with respect to at least one objective function. An aspiration level is an upper bound for some objective (cost) function.
