Esters of 4-hydroxybenzoic acid appear as red spots , 2-phenoxyethanol and 1-phenoxypropan-2-ol as yellow spots . Note , however , that 4-hydroxybenzoic acid itself , which may be present in the samples as a preservative or decomposition product of the parabens , will also appear as a red spot . See 7.3 and 7.4 .

This acid react with the decomposition product based on Pentaerhtritol to an acid Easter. This Easter decomposed to a carbon rich layer. Simultaneous the Melamine decomposed to a gas and this gas is responsible for the developing of an insulation layer.

The concerned registrants are required to provide information about the nature and relative amounts of thermal decomposition products generated from polyhaloalkene in the case of contact with hot surfaces or open flames. In the Cooperative Research Project report submitted by the registrants, but apparently not in the CSR, it is mentioned that aside from hydrogen fluoride (HF), also carbonyl difluoride (COF2) is generated as a thermal decomposition product of polyhaloalkene.
