In desperation I sopped by a small house where a woman and child were in the front garden. Ich kaufte mir in einem schönen Magnolien-Baum im Jahr 2010 und pflanzte ihn in vor meinem Haus in den Vorgarten. Ich gieße täglich und Düngen es gelegentlich. My home is a double upper flat in the Abbeyhill colonies on the north east of Edinburgh city centre. Edinburgh’s unique colonies are cottage style terraces built in the 19th century by a builders and trades co-operative to provide decent housing for workers; they are fascinating both socially and architecturally. The upper flats are reached by outside stairs. It’s a quiet, friendly neighbourhood tucked away from the main road with no through traffic (but free parking). The house has 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 single), 1 bathroom, just refurbished, a lovely bright kitchen diner and a cosy front room as well as a sunny (Scottish weather permitting) front garden. There’s no TV but plenty of radios as well as WiFi internet access.

Meine Heimat ist eine doppelte obere Wohnung in den Abbeyhill Kolonien im Norden östlich vom Stadtzentrum von Edinburgh. Edinburghs einzigartigen Kolonien sind Cottage Stil Terrassen gebaut im 19. Jahrhundert von einem Bauherren und Facharbeit kooperative auf angemessenen Wohnraum für Arbeiter zur Verfügung zu stellen; Sie sind beide Sozial und architektonisch faszinierend. Die oberen Wohnungen werden durch Außentreppe erreicht. Es ist eine ruhige, freundliche Nachbarschaft versteckt abseits der Hauptstraße ohne Durchgangsverkehr (aber kostenlose Parkplätze). Das Haus verfügt über 2 Schlafzimmer (1 Doppelbett, 1 Einzelbett), 1 Badezimmer, gerade renoviert, eine schöne helle Küche-Restaurant und eine gemütliche vorne Raum sowie einem sonnigen (schottischer wetterabhängig) Vorgarten. Es gibt kein TV, aber viele Radios sowie WiFi-Internetzugang.
