A young calf is a gregarious animal and it goes with the herd instinct as quickly as possible and I believe that to deny the calf that possibility is creating a hazard for the future.

Jungkälber sind Herdentiere und verhalten sich so rasch wie möglich ihrem Herdentrieb gemäß; wenn ihnen diese Möglichkeit vorenthalten wird, so erwächst daraus nach meiner Ansicht eine Gefahr für die Zukunft.
