All cables running from wall outlets to wiring cabinets/infrastructure rooms or between wiring cabinets/infrastructure rooms require installation qualification (IQ). The IQ covers or references the specifications for the network and must be signed by the installer(s) and the owner or his designee. The IQ documents that components are installed in a manner that meets or exceeds IEEE (or other appropriate industry standard) and the manufacturer's specifications.
