Cables shall enter field equipment only through proper cable glands from the bottom or sideways with water sack building. All used cable glands have to be IP68, type AGRO/RADO or equivalent. The material out of which they are made should resist the environmental and mechanical conditions in which they are installed. Cable glands with a dimension equal or bigger then M50 should always be metallic ones (nickeled brass or stainless steel) due to the mechanical stress that is to be expected on these glands, except when the environmental conditions do not allow for this or when the housing of the connection box of the equipment is made out of insulating material.
