She expanded her knowledge in diagnostics; treatment plan development and performance; surgical procedures; and necropsy on different species including rodents, rabbits, ferrets, canine, swine, and nonhuman primates. She excelled in all aspects of her training and demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment in all areas of laboratory animal care and use as research models. In her second year, Dr. Matthias was assigned the opportunity to be responsible for one of the UT Health rodent sections. She developed communication skills through significant interaction with husbandry and investigative personnel. In this capacity, she also performed rounds, made treatment plans, communicated with PI’s through verbal and written communication, and worked with husbandry and other veterinary staff to ensure the section performed well for both investigators and staff in an exemplary manner.

Sie entwickelte die Kommunikationsfähigkeit durch signifikante Interaktion mit Tierhaltung und investigative Personal. In dieser Funktion sie auch runden durchgeführt, Behandlungspläne vorgenommen, durch mündliche und schriftliche Kommunikation mit PiS kommuniziert, und arbeitete mit Tierhaltung und anderen tierärztlichen Personals sicherzustellen Abschnitt beispielhaft gut für Ermittler und Personal durchgeführt.
