The 1st CIMIC Battalion, (Batalionul 1 Cooperare Civil-Militară) is the only Civil-Military cooperation battalion of the Romanian Land Forces and it was formed in September 2001. It is currently subordinated to the 1st Territorial Army Corps and its headquarters are located in Bucharest. The unit became completely operational in 2007 and it participated in peacekeeping missions in Afghanistan, Albania, Angola, Bosnia, Côte d'Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Georgia, Iraq, Kosovo and Sudan.

During a meeting with the staff of the Dutch land forces last week, two convenants were signed between RMMV-NL and DBGS (Materiel organisation of the defense department). 1/ Cooperation of use of the test (track) facilities in Leusden. This means that all test facilities at the military base in Leusden are open for use by RMMV for the testing of the Boxers. Also an office at the base will be made available for the next two years which can be used by RMMV staff. This will have major benifits for RMMV-NL, since Leusden is only 20 km from the Ede location.
