You shouldn’t afford to miss one of the prettiest areas of Ladakh – the Suru Valley situated in Kargil district. The valleys are especially picturesque in spring when the apple, apricot and mulberry trees are all in bloom and in autumn when they are laden with fruit. It is impossible to turn away one’s eyes from alpine meadows, plantations of willow and poplar, majestic mountains, villages with mud houses, the ruins of the fort and prehistoric rock paintings.
