We need to discuss with Alfa and Technip urgently. It is a basic requirement of Class machinery that it be permanently fixed to the vessel’s structure, so we cannot even start work on such an item. Prelude is a floating installation, so the idea of connecting cables and pressurised oil hoses attached to a wheeled cart is obviously a fire hazard whichever way it is viewed. Please ask Alfa to take the matter up with Technip. They can then contact this dept. directly.
