Generally the requirements of Appendix E28 shall be applied where machinery and equipment is placed in an open area. Wherever possible the limit of 85dBA shall be obtained without the use of a noise enclosure. Where machinery shall be put in a confined area or room (not an entire building), due to require-ments in Appendices E, the noise requirements of Appendix E28 table A7 are not valid inside that room as an absolute value as far as the area/room is not permanently manned. In such confined area/room (as e.g. noise hoods of compressors or HP ammonia pump room) the noise level of the equipment shall be minimized as far as possible (to be documented by Bidder). The use of noise enclosures around machinery in a confined room is not wanted. (To be clear the compressor building is NOT a confined room, so noise enclosures around compressors and tur-bines are not excluded)

 Wo Maschinen werden in einer engen Bereich oder Raum (kein ganzes Gebäude), Fälligkeitsdatum setzen Anforderungen in Anhang E, die Lärmvorschriften der Anlage E28 Tabelle A7 sind nicht gültig in diesem Raum als absoluter Wert, als der Bereich/Raum nicht dauerhaft besetzt ist. 
 In so engen Bereich/Raum (wie z.B. Lärm Hauben von Kompressoren oder HP Ammoniak Pumpenraum) wird der Geräuschpegel des Gerätes so weit wie möglich (um Bieter zu dokumentieren) minimiert werden. 
 Die Verwendung von Lärm-Gehäuse rund um Maschinen in einem geschlossenen Raum ist nicht wollte. (Klar zu sein ist das Kompressor-Gebäude keinen geschlossenen Raum, so Lärm Gehäuse rund um Kompressoren und Tur-Gerüsthöhe nicht ausgeschlossen sind)
