Dear Members, The TC 256 Secretariat has received a request from DIN/FSF to extend the date of withdrawal (dow) for the national fire safety standards for rolling stock from 6 months to 36 months when the EN 45545-series will be published. The justification is given in the attached request DOC N 3533. According to the CEN/CLC Internal Regulations, Part 2 dow (date of withdrawal) is defined as "latest date by which national standards conflicting with and an EN (and HD for CENELEC) have to be withdrawn".
