1. PURPOSE The purpose of this program is to ensure consistent and timely reporting of environmental accidents and incidents, including spill/releases, regulatory inspections, and notices of violations at all Johns Manville (JM) facilities.

3.3 Minor Release or Spill An incident, which results in: • Release, spill, discharge of material that: o Exceeds secondary containment vessel capacity, or 25 gallons or 100 liters, whichever is less of any petroleum product, hazardous waste, batch material or other chemical; o Exceeds 1 gallon or 4 liters of any petroleum product, hazardous waste, batch material or other chemical outside of any containment device;

3.4 Major Release or Spill An incident, which results in: • Release, spill, discharge of material, regardless of volume or duration, or a fire that: o Requires actions to be taken to shelter and/or protect local residents and businesses, or o Leaves or has the potential to leave the site boundary, or o Requires the mobilization of public sector resources (fire, police, etc.), or
