Unlike other regular awards, two special awards will be introduced this season, “Photography Appreciation Award” will be presented to the person or group that have shown a long-standing commitment to enhancing the art of photography and “Photographic Research/Report Award”, to the most comprehensive research compiled in the field of photography. Submissions open for entry on the 1st of September 2012, and close midnight the 31st of December 2012. All times and dates are based on UAE standard times and dates. This gives competitors 4 months to submit their work(s) to the HIPA.ae website which will accept submission for all the categories. Competitors will be permitted to enter a maximum of four entries into this year’s award, which equates to one submission per category available.

Im Gegensatz zu anderen regelmäßigen Auszeichnungen, zwei besondere Auszeichnungen in dieser Saison eingeführt werden, "Fotografie Appreciation Award" wird an die Person oder Gruppe, die eine langjährige Engagement für die Verbesserung der Technik der Fotografie und "Photographic Research / Report Award" haben gezeigt, präsentiert werden, der umfangreichsten Forschung auf dem Gebiet der Fotografie zusammengestellt. Einreichungen zu öffnen für die Einreise auf dem 1. September 2012 und in der Nähe Mitternacht 31. Dezember 2012. Alle Zeiten und Daten werden auf UAE Standard-Zeiten und Daten basiert. Dies gibt Wettbewerber 4 Monate, um ihre Arbeit (s) zum HIPA.ae Website, die Vorlage für alle Kategorien akzeptieren einzureichen. Wettbewerber dürfen maximal vier Einträge in der diesjährigen Auszeichnung, die eine Einsendung pro Kategorie verfügbar entspricht einzugeben.
