Dabei wird das Baumuster durch geeignete Messmittel und visuelle Beobachtung, erforderlichenfalls mit Hilfe eines Stroboskops, sorgfältig auf Funktionsstörungen, Veränderung seiner Funktionsdaten und mechanische Erscheinungen wie Resonanzschwingungen und Klappern beobachtet, die bei bestimmten Frequenzen hervortreten.
