The anhydrite cement has fluorite and chalcedonic quartz spherules associated with it. Some dolostone clasts are surrounded by felted masses consisting of acicular crystals of displacive nodular and enterolithic anhydrite (Figure 6C). The presence of enterolithic anhydrite in Lithofacies 2 indicates a phase of evaporite genesis distinctly different from that which precipitated the replacive and clear void-filling anhydrite cements. Anhydrites with enterolithic structures are commonly associated with subaerial sabkha-type carbonate/evaporite sequences (see Schreiber, 1986). However, there is no evidence of such conditions in the sequences described here. The anhydrites were possibly deposited from supersaturated brines which originated from the laterally equivalent or overlying formations.

Anhydrit mit enterolithic Strukturen werden häufig mit subaerial Sabkha-Typ Carbonat / Evaporit Sequenzen (siehe Schreiber, 1986) verbunden. Es gibt jedoch keine Hinweise auf solche Bedingungen in den Sequenzen beschrieben. Die Anhydrite wurden möglicherweise aus übersättigten Salzlösungen, die von den seitlich gleichwertig oder darüberliegende Formationen entstanden hinterlegt.
