I have found a method that does not need a dump of the EEPROM. You have to be able to strip the CD/tape block out of the unit and power it up (preferably on a bench). If anyone is interested and happy with the above, the rest is simple! I know this is an old forum post. If anyone replies I am willing to help :-)
