It occurred to me that it is a dangerous and also very difficult job to be at the helm of governments in Europe too!

Ich dachte bei mir, dass es auch gefährlich und sehr schwierig ist, am Steuer der Regierungen in Europa zu sitzen!

This Presidency, regardless of who happens to be at the helm, can only succeed fully if everyone shares the desire for European integration to succeed.

Diese Präsidentschaft wird unabhängig davon, wer an ihrer Spitze stehen mag, nur dann uneingeschränkt erfolgreich sind, wenn sich alle dem Wunsch verpflichtet fühlen, dass die europäische Integration gelinge möge.
