It means the stent the author used is not so good in its characteristics, because it is well known that the Wallstent vascular endoprosthesis is an effective initial treatment in patients with SVCS of neoplastic origin. Only few cases required balloon dilatation before or after stent placement when the initially Wallstent is placed. The routing management to decide whether to dilate is that one cannot achieve a widening of > 50% of the vessel's original diameter aftent stenting. So the author lacks of a criterion when performing balloon dilation after stenting.
