   Herr Präsident, liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen, nicht allen ist es vergönnt, einen historischen Moment wie diesen zu erleben: einen positiven historischen Moment des Friedens, der Freude und des realen Fortschritts, in dem ein Licht der Hoffnung den etwas grauen Zynismus, mit dem wir es oftmals zu tun haben, leicht überstrahlen kann.

Comment: The continuous lighting gives the impression of being on a Vorfahrstraße (also possibly the lights outshine the give way sign). Also reinforced the straight and wide road improvements the (mistaken) impression of a main road! Textbook page: 185
