Bevorzugte Alkylierungsmittel sind (C?-C?)-Alkylhalogenide wie Alkylchlorid, Alkylbromid, Alkylfluorid oder Alkyljodid, insbesondere Methylchlorid, Ethylchlorid oder Propylchlorid; (C?-C?)-Dialkylsulfat wie Dimethyl-, Diethyl-, Dipropyl-, Dibutyl-, Dipentyl- oder Dihexylsulfat; oder (C?-C?)-Dialkylcarbonat wie Dimethyl-, Diethyl-, Dipropyl-, Dibutyl-, Dipentyl- oder Dihexylcarbonat.
