Schrecklich, ich kann nicht schlafen und dann kommt mir dies in den Sinn: laut Theorie wurde die gleiche Masse von Materie und Antimaterie beim Urknall freigegeben, jedoch ist es bewiesen, dass Materie und Antmaterie sich gegeneinander aufheben, also .. wie kommt es dann das wir existieren???

== Begriffsgeschichte ==1898 verwendete der Physiker Arthur Schuster den Begriff Antimaterie in zwei Zuschriften an Nature erstmals.

The term antimatter was first used by Arthur Schuster in two rather whimsical letters to "Nature" in 1898, in which he coined the term.

Im zweiten Teil der Vorlesung wird die Bedeutung von Neutronen in Physik jenseits des Standardmodells behandelt. Dabei wird z. Bsp. auf die Materie-Antimaterie Asymmetrie im Universum eingengangen. Die Suche nach neuen Quellen von fundamentalen Symmetriebrechungen durch ein elektrisches Dipolmoment des Neutrons wird im Detail behandelt. Moderne theoretische Motivationen für ein solches Phänomen wie Sypersymmetrie und mögliche Quellen werden diskutiert und ein grösseres Bild über die Neutronenphysik hinaus vermittelt. Neben verschiedenen Experimenten wie die Suche nach Neutron-Antineutron Oszillationen werden auch Tests der Quantenmechanik mit Neutronen mittels Interferometrie vorgestellt.

The second part of the lecture discusses the importance of neutrons in physics beyond the standard model. This is for example on the matter antimatter asymmetry in the universe eingengangen.
