Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Niederdruckentladungslampe nach einem oder mehreren der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Verfahren zur Herstellung der mit dem Elektronenemitter versehenen Elektrodenwendeln folgende Fertigungsschritte enthält: Herstellen eines Mischkarbonats bestehend aus Bariumkarbonat und maximal 20 Mol-% Strontiumkarbonat, in einer Fällungsanlage aus den Ausgangsprodukten Bariumnitrat, Strontiumnitrat und einem Tartrat, Trocknen des Mischkarbonats und anschließende Mahlung, Ansetzen einer Emitterpaste bestehend aus ca. 80 Teilen Mischkarbonat und 18 Teilen Butylacetat sowie 2 Teilen Nitrocellulose, Bepasten der Elektrodenwendeln mit der Emitterpaste, Anschmelzen der Elektrodengestelle an das Entladungsgefäß, Abpumpen des Entladungsgefäßes und Aktivieren der Elektrodenwendeln, wobei der Aktivierungeprozeß folgende Schritte umfaßt :
