Die Endothelzellen sind spezialisierte, flache Zellen, welche die Innenseite der Blutgefäße auskleiden. Sie bilden ein einschichtiges Plattenepithel, das Endothel. Fibroblasten sind Zellen, die ein Hauptbestandteil des Bindegewebes sind. Sie spielen eine wichtige Rolle bei der Synthese der Interzellularsubstanz, die zum Aufbau der sogenannten Extrazellulärmatrix benötigt wird. Der Chondrozyt ist eine aus Chondroblasten hervorgehende und im Knorpelgewebe ansässige Zelle.
