Antihelmintische Zusammensetzung, die dermal verabreichbar ist (wie beispielsweise durch ein Aufgieß-Verfahren, um an ein Tier eine systemisch wirksame antihelmintische Menge des Wirkstoffes Benzimidazol abzugeben), wobei die Zusammensetzung bei Raumtemperatur oder Umgebungstemperatur Folgendes umfasst: zumindest ein Benzimidazol oder eine Prodrug hiervon, das (die) in einem transdermalen Trägerstoff gelöst, in diesem suspendiert und/oder in diesem emulgiert ist und einen flüssigen Träger für ein derartiges Benzimidazol/Trägerstoff-Gemisch, der einen nicht-ionischen Emulgator, ein Öl, das den nicht-ionischen Emulgator solubilisiert, Wasser oder ein anderes Verdünnungsmittel, und ein Entflockungsmittel einschließt, wobei das Benzimidazol oder die Prodrug hiervon aus der Gruppe ausgewählt ist, die Oxfendazol, Thiabendazol, Albendazol, Cambenazol, Fenbendazol, Flubendazol, Mebendazol, Oxibendazol, Parbendazol, Thiophanat, Febantel und Netobimin einschließt, wobei der Trägerstoff aus der Gruppe ausgewählt ist, die Isopropylmyristat, Dimethylsulfoxid, Diacetonalkohol, n-Methyl-2-pyrrolidon und 1-Pyrrolidon einschließt, wobei das Öl aus der Gruppe ausgewählt ist, die Canolaöl, Rapsöl, Polyolfettsäureester, Laurinsäurehexyl, Ölsäuredecylester, 2-Octyldodecanol, Soja- und Sonnenblumenöl, fette gereinigte Raps- und Erdnussöle einschließt, wobei der nicht-ionische Emulgator aus der Gruppe ausgewählt ist, die Sorbitanstearat, Polysorbate [einschließlich Ethoxy(20)sorbitamnonopalmitat, Ethoxy(20)sorbitanmonostearat, Ethoxy(4)sorbitanmonostearat und Ethoxy(20)sorbitantristearat], Polyoxyethylenrizinusöle und Polyoxyethylenglycole einschließt und wobei das Entflockungsmittel aus der Gruppe ausgewählt ist, die Natriumlignosulfonat, Siliciumdioxide und Polyvinylpyrrolidone einschließt.

A anthelmintic composition capable of being applied dermally (such as by a pour-on procedure to an animal to deliver a systemically effective anthelmintic amount of the active ingredient benzimidazole), said composition comprising at room or ambient temperature, at least one benzimidazole or prodrug thereof dissolved in, suspended on and/or emulsified by a transdermal vehicle and a liquid carrier for such benzimidazole/vehicle which includes a non-ionic emulsifier, an oil which solublises the non-ionic emulsifier, water or other diluent, and a deflocculation agent wherein said benzimidazole or prodrug thereof is selected from the group including oxfendazole, thiabendazole, albendazole, cambenazole, fenbendazole, flubendazole, mebendazole, oxibendazole, parbendazole, thiophanate, febantel, and netobimin, said vehicle being selected from the group including isopropyl myristate, dimethyl sulphoxide, diacetone alcohol, n-methyl-2-pyrrolidone and 2 pyrrolidone, said oil is selected from the group including canola oil, polyol fatty acid ester, lauric acid hexyl, oleic acid decyl ester, 2-octyl dodecanol, soybean and sunflower oil, rapeseed, ground nut refined fixed oils, said non-ionic emulsifier being selected from the group including sorbitan stearate, polysorbates [including ethoxy (20) sorbitan monopalmitate, ethoxy (20) sorbitan monostearate, ethoxy (4) sorbitan monostearate and ethoxy (20) sorbitan tristearate], polyoxyethylene castor oils and polyoxyethylene glycols and said deflocculation agent being selected from the group including sodium lignosulphonate, silicon dioxides, poly vinyl pyrrolidones.
