Die bekannteste seiner Gedichtsammlung stellt dabei die Burrkäwers-Reihe dar, die in sechs Bänden von 1911 bis 1918 erschienen. Die ersten drei Bücher enthaltenhumorvolle, aus dem Leben gegriffene Geschichten. In den Gechichten nimmt er die Schwächen der menschen auf die Schippe. Die anderen drei Bänder hingegen geben sich ganz dem Hurra-Patriotismus hin.

The best known of his poetry collection here represents the Burrkäwers series, which appeared in six volumes from 1911 to 1918. The first three books contain humorous, real-life stories. In Gechichten he takes the weaknesses of the people for a ride. The other three bands on the other hand give themselves up entirely to the jingoism.
