Als ich zehn Jahre alt war, spendierten meine Eltern mir Klavierunterricht am Osnabrücker Konservatorium und ein Klavier wurde angeschafft. Immerhin wohnten wir in einem Mehrfamilienhaus zur Miete. Die armen Nachbarn, aber damals hatte ich keine Hemmungen. Ich lernte so Harmonielehre, Gehörbildung, und Unabhängigkeit der beiden Hände. Während der Zeit hab ich auch im Kinderchor des Konservatoriums mitgesungen, das hat mein Gehör massiv geschult. Mein Opa nahm mich damals oft mit zu Opernaufführungen im Osnabrücker Theater, weil mir das so großen Spaß machte. Ich habe damals fast alle gängigen Opern und Operetten gesehen. Noch heute bin ich ein großer Freund von klassischen Konzerten und Opern.
