Initiative

Meiner Ansicht nach sollte das Parlament diese Initiative befürworten und somit ein deutliches Zeichen setzen, dass es diese Maßnahmen auf lokaler, regionaler und nationaler Ebene sowie auf interlokaler und interregionaler Ebene sowie zwischen den Ländern unterstützt, die sich am Aufbau einer einheitlichen EU beteiligen und sich gleichzeitig für die verstärkte Anwendung des Subsidiaritätsprinzips einsetzen.

In my opinion, Parliament should back this idea, in so doing sending out a very clear and measurable signal that it supports these actions at local, regional and national scale, and also at inter-local and inter-regional level and between the countries that are engaged in the task of constructing a coherent EU, while at the same time strengthening the principle of subsidiarity.

Aber es gibt auch andere Beteiligte, vor allem die europäischen Weinbauern, unter ihnen meine Kollegin Christa Klass, die übrigens die Initiative zu dieser Aussprache ergriffen hat, wofür ich ihr danke.

Yet there are the other operators too, in particular the European wine growers, including my colleague, Mrs Klass, to whom, moreover, we owe the initiative behind this debate, and for that I offer her my thanks.
