Raumluft wird durch die Pumpe angesaugt, durchströmt 10 % ige HCL und treibt somit das CO2 aus dem Filter aus. Die folgende Passage mit Kupferspänen reinigt das Gas von restlicher HCL (zur längeren Lebensdauer der Küvette) und eine weitere Passage durch eine CaCl2 Kolonne trocknet das Messgas bevor es in die Messküvette geleitet wird.

Indoor air is sucked through the pump, flows through 10% HCL and drives out the CO2 out of the filter. The following passage with copper shavings cleans the gas of residual HCL (to the longer life of the cell) and a further passage through a CaCl2 dries column the measuring gas before it is routed in the measuring Cuvette.
