Weitere Trappenarten Wie bei alten Hähnen der Großtrappe, bilden sich auch bei manchen anderen Trappenarten in der Kopf- und Halsregion auffällige Federpartien aus, wie z. B. bei der 64 cm großen Kragentrappe (Chlamydotis undulata), die in Nordafrika, auf den Kanarischen Inseln und im asiatischen Raum (bis zur Mongolei) heimisch ist.
