In seiner Mitte der Lindwurm , das Wappentier Klagenfurts, ursprünglich zweifüßiger Drache, der beim Stadtturm vorbeischwebt, als Erinnerung an die in der Gründungssage überlieferten Anfänge der Stadt. Der alt-historische Teil befindet sich am Alten Platz, heute eine Fußgängerzone zum Bummeln. Es werden wöchentliche Altstadtwanderungen durch imposante Innenhöfe, Denkmäler und historische Bauten Klagenfurts angeboten.

At its heart is the Lindwurm, the emblem of Klagenfurt, originally a two-footed dragon that reminds us of the legendary beginnings of the city. The old historic centre is located at the Alter Platz, today a pedestrian zone with great shopping opportunities. Weekly tours of the old town take in beautiful courtyards, monuments and historic buildings and are available every week.
