Bei der betroffenen Ware handelt es sich um Kaliumchlorid (KCl), das im allgemeinen als Düngemittel in der Landwirtschaft verwendet wird. Es wird entweder direkt oder gemischt mit anderen Nährstoffen eingesetzt oder zunächst zu Volldüngemitteln, den sogenannten NPK-Düngemitteln (Stickstoff, Phosphor, Kalium), verarbeitet.

The product concerned is potassium chloride (potash, KC1) and is generally used as agricultural fertiliser, directly, blended with other fertilisers or after transformation into a complex fertiliser known as NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium).

Der Gehalt an Kalium, berechnet als Kaliumoxid (K2O), schwankt und wird in Gewichtshundertteilen des wasserfreien Stoffes ausgedrückt.

The potassium content is variable and is expressed as a percentage of the weight of potassium oxide (K2O) on the dry anhydrous product.

Nach Artikel 3 Absatz 3 dieser Verordnung ist das Inverkehrbringen und die Verbreitung von Düngemitteln, die unter die Zolltarifnummern 25.10, 28.09, 28.35, 31.03 und 31.05 fallen und einen Cadmiumgehalt von über 100 Gramm je Tonne Phosphor aufweisen, verboten.

Section 3, paragraph 3, of the Ordinance, provides that fertilisers covered by customs tariffs numbers 25.10, 28.09, 28.35, 31.03 and 31.05 containing in excess of 100 grams of cadmium per tonne of phosphorous may not be offered for sale or transferred.

Der Grund hierfür ist, dass die CRT-Technologie auf lichterzeugendem Phosphor basiert.

That's because CRT technology is based on light-emitting phosphors.

Für Allzweckreiniger darf der Gesamtgehalt an Phosphor (P) 0,2 g/Einheitsmenge nicht übersteigen.

For all-purpose cleaners, the total phosphorus content (P) shall not exceed 0,2 g/functional unit.
