Magnetorheologisches Material mit einem Trägerfluid sowie einem magnetisch aktiven Partikel, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es darüber hinaus einen verunreinigungsentfemenden Zusatz enthält, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus einem Säurereiniger, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe umfassend organische Säuren, Säuresalze und anorganische Säuren einen Alkalireiniger, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe umfassend Alkalimetallorthophosphate, kondensierte Phosphate, Hydroxide, Carbonate, Bicarbonate, Silikate und Borate allein oder in Verbindung mit einem oberflächenaktiven Mittel und einem abrasiven Zusatz, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Diamantstaub, Granit, Korund, Tonerde, schwarzer Mineralschlacke, Cr 2 O 3 , HfO 2 , TiO 2 , MgO, Glas, Sand, hydrophobes Siliziumoxid, Aluminiumsilikate, Bimsstein, Polierrot, Schmirgel, Feldspat, SiC, B 4 C, BN, Si 3 N 4 , AIN, Ceroxid, Magnetit und rauchende Tonerde, wobei der Partikel einen Durchmesser besitzt im Bereich von etwa 1 bis 500 µm.

A magnetorheological material comprising a carrier fluid and a magnetically active particle, characterised in that it further includes a contaminant-removing additive selected from the group consisting of an acid cleaner selected from the group comprising organic acids, acid salts and inorganic acids; an alkaline cleaner selected from the group comprising alkali metal orthophosphates, condensed phosphates, hydroxides, carbonates, bicarbonates, silicates and borates alone or in combination with a surfactant and an abrasive additive selected from the group consisting of diamond dust, garnet, corundum, alumina, black mineral slag, Cr 2 O 3 , HfO 2, TiO 2 , MgO, glass, sand, hydrophobic silica, aluminium silicates, pumice, rouge, emery, feldspar, SiC, B 4 C, BN, Si 3 N 4 , A1N, cerium oxide, magnetite and fused alumina; wherein the particle has a diameter ranging from about 1 to 500 µm.
