Wir erkunden das historische Zentrum der Hauptstadt Guatemalas und besuchen unter anderem die Kathedrale, die 1868 nach 86-jähriger Bauzeit fertiggestellt wurde, sowie den Palacio Nacional de la Cultura. Dieser ehemalige Präsidentenpalast, der zwischen 1939 und 1943 erbaut wurde, ist ein großes, grünes Steingebäude mit Elementen der Kolonial- und neoklassizistischen Architektur. Es bleibt auch Zeit, das Museo Nacional de Etnología y Arqueología oder das Museo Ixchel de Traje Indígena zu besuchen.

Today we tour Guatemala's capital visiting the historic centre with the Metropolitan Cathedral, which was completed in 1868 after 86 years of construction, and the National Palace of Culture. This former presidential palace is a large, green stone structure with elements of colonial and neoclassical architecture.
