Die sechs Organisationen – Caritas Europa, die Kommission der Kirchen für Migranten in Europa (CCME), das Sekretariat der Kommission der Bischofskonferenzen der Europäischen Gemeinschaft (COMECE), die Internationale Katholische Migranten Kommission (ICMC), der Jesuiten Flüchtlingsdienst Europa und der Rat der Quäker für europäische Angelegenheiten – begrüßen die Anstrengungen, eine gemeinsame Migrationspolitik und ein Asylsystem für die gesamte EU zu entwickeln. Dabei betonen sie, dass einer Orientierung dieser Politik an der unantastbaren Würde des Menschen und seinen Rechten besondere Bedeutung zukommt.

These six organisations – Caritas Europa, the Commission of the Bishops’ Conferences of the European Community (COMECE), the Churches’ Commission for Migration in Europe (CCME), the International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC), the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) and the Quaker Council for European Affairs – welcome efforts to establish a common migration policy and asylum system across the EU whilst highlighting the importance of orientating any such policy around the inalienable dignity and rights of the human being.

Community (COMECE), the International Catholic Migration Commission, the Jesuit Refugee Service Europe (JRS) and the Quaker Council for European Affairs - argue that the 12 recommendations should be incorporated into EU asylum and migration policy in order to protect the human rights of migrants and refugees.
