KAPITEL 46 FLECHTWAREN UND KORBMACHERWAREN Anmerkungen 1. Als _DOUBLEQUOTE_ Flechtstoffe _DOUBLEQUOTE_ im Sinne dieses Kapitels gelten Stoffe , die aufgrund ihrer Beschaffenheit und Form zum Flechten , Weben oder fuer aehnliche Verarbeitungsverfahren geeignet sind ; dazu gehoeren insbesondere Stroh , Korbweiden , Bambus , Binsen , Schilf , Holzspan , Faserstreifen von anderen Pflanzen ( z.B. Raffiabast , schmale Blaetter oder Streifen aus breiten Blaettern geschnitten ) oder Rinde , nicht versponnene natuerliche Spinnfasern , Monofile und Streifen oder dergleichen aus Kunststoffen sowie Streifen aus Papier , jedoch nicht Streifen aus Leder , rekonstituiertem Leder , Filz oder Vliesstoffen , Menschenhaar , Rosshaar , Vorgarne und Garne aus Spinnstoffen sowie Monofilamente und Streifen oder dergleichen des Kapitels 54. 2. Zu Kapitel 46 gehoeren nicht : a ) Wandverkleidungen der Position 4814 ; b ) Bindfaeden , Seile und Taue , auch geflochten ( Position 5607 ) ; c ) Schuhe und Kopfbedeckungen oder Teile davon des Kapitels 64 oder 65 ; d ) Fahrzeuge und Fahrzeugaufbauten , aus Korbgeflecht ( Kapitel 87 ) ; e ) Waren des Kapitels 94 ( z.B. Moebel , Beleuchtungskoerper ) . 3. _DOUBLEQUOTE_ Parallel aneinandergefuegte Flechtstoffe , Geflechte und aehnliche Waren aus Flechtstoffen _DOUBLEQUOTE_ im Sinne der Position 4601 sind Waren aus Flechtstoffen , Geflechten und aehnlichen Waren , bei denen diese nebeneinandergelegt und durch Bindematerial , auch durch Garne aus Spinnstoffen , in Flaechenform miteinander verbunden sind .

CHAPTER 46 MANUFACTURES OF STRAW , OF ESPARTO OR OF OTHER PLAITING MATERIALS ; BASKETWARE AND WICKERWORK Notes 1 . In this chapter the expression 'plaiting materials ' means materials in a state or form suitable for plaiting , interlacing or similar processes ; it includes straw , osier or willow , bamboos , rushes , reeds , strips of wood , strips of other vegetable material ( for example , raffia , narrow leaves or strips cut from broad leaves ) or bark , unspun natural textile fibres , monofilament and strip and the like of plastics and strips of paper , but not strips of leather or composition leather or of felt or non-wovens , human hair , horsehair , textile rovings or yarns , or monofilament and strip and the like of Chapter 54 . 2 . This chapter does not cover : ( a ) wall coverings of heading No 4814 ; ( b ) twine , cordage , ropes or cables , plaited or not ( heading No 5607 ) ; ( c ) footwear or headgear or parts thereof of Chapter 64 or 65 ; ( d ) vehicles or bodies for vehicles of basketware ( Chapter 87 ) ; or ( e ) articles of Chapter 94 ( for example , furniture , lamps and lighting fittings ) . 3 . For the purposes of heading No 4601 , the expression 'plaiting materials , plaits and similar products of plaiting materials , bound together in parallel strands ' means plaiting materials , plaits and similar products of plaiting materials , placed side by side and bound together , in the form of sheets , whether or not the binding materials are of spun textile materials .
