Biopsienadel (1) zur Knochenbiopsie, insbesondere durch Einbringen der Nadel in und gegebenenfalls durch die Knochengrundsubstanz, mit einer distal stirnseitig geschliffenen Kanüle (2) und einem in dieser geführten Stilett (7), wobei die Kanüle (2) an ihrem distalen Ende (3) ein Außengewinde (9) aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Außengewinde derart überschliffen ist, daß die Wandungen zweier benachbarter Gewindeteile oder -nuten nicht über eine Gewinde-Schneidkante ineinander übergehen, sondern über einen Außenmantelbereich mit endlicher Erstreckung in axialer Richtung, dessen Außendurchmesser nicht größer als der Außendurchmesser der sonstigen, im wesentlichen zylindrischen Kanülen ist.
