Seminar I vermittelt den Stipendiaten anschließend in Berlin einen Überblick zu Geschichte, Politik, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft der Bundesrepublik Deutschland und dient der inhaltlichen Orientierung zu Beginn des Programmjahres. In einer Exkursion nach Dresden lernen die Fellows Ostdeutschland und seine Entwicklung in den vergangenen 20 Jahren kennen und befassen sich in Warschau mit Deutschlands größtem und wichtigstem östlichen Nachbarn Polen.

Seminar I gives Fellows then in Berlin with an overview of the history, politics, economy and society of the Federal Republic of Germany and serves the content orientation at the beginning of the program year. In an excursion to Dresden learn Fellows East and know its development in the past 20 years and deal in Warsaw with Germany's largest and most important eastern neighbor Poland.
