Terrazzo

Jeder Stern besteht aus altrosafarbenem Terrazzo. In den Stein ist der Name des zu ehrenden Künstlers oder der zu ehrenden Gruppe eingelassen, außerdem in Messing das Symbol für die Kategorie, in der die Ehrung stattgefunden hat.

Den Ausstellungsräumen gemeinsam ist die Schlichtheit der Materialien: Backstein, Mörtel und Lehmputz sowie Naturstein, Terrazzo und geglätteter Estrich auf den Böden.

The exhibition rooms have in common a sleek simplicity of the materials used: brick, mortar, and clay plaster as well as natural stone, terrazzo, and smooth screed on the floors.

Die Arbeit am Projekt erbrachte folgende Reduktion: lichtgraue Wände aus Backstein (Kolumba-Stein) und Lehmputz, Böden aus Jurakalk, Terrazzo und Mörtel, Decken aus auf eine Schalung gegossenem Mörtel, Fensterrahmen, Türen, Zargen und Beschläge aus Stahl, Wandvertäfelungen und Möbel in Holz, Textil und Leder, Vorhänge aus Leder und Seide.

The work on the project yielded the following reduction: light gray brick walls (Kolumba stones) and clay plaster, flooring made of Jura limestone, terrazzo, and mortar, ceilings made of a poured mortar shell, window frames, doors, casings and fittings of steel, wall paneling and furniture of wood, textiles and leather, curtains of leather and silk.
