Und der HERR wird euch in Trübsal Brot und in Ängsten Wasser geben. Und deine Lehrer werden sich nicht mehr verbergen müssen; sondern deine Augen werden deine Lehrer sehen,

And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:

Wir müssen wirken, solange es Tag ist, denn wenn die dunkle Nacht der Trübsal und Angst kommt, wird es zu spät sein, für Gott zu arbeiten.

We must work while it is day, because when the dark night of trouble and anguish comes, it will be too late to work for God.

und haben keine Wurzel in sich, sondern sind wetterwendisch; wenn sich Trübsal oder Verfolgung um des Wortes willen erhebt, so ärgern sie sich alsbald.

And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

Denn ihre Freude war überschwenglich, da sie durch viel Trübsal bewährt wurden; und wiewohl sie sehr arm sind, haben sie doch reichlich gegeben in aller Einfalt.

How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
