Gegenstand der Erfindung ist demnach die Verwendung von Diolen oder acetali­ sierten Triolen, von Di- oder Tricarbonsäureestern, von Gemischen aus Dicar­ bonsäureestern oder von Butyrolacton als Extraktionsmittel zur Gewinnung reiner, 3-Hydroxybuttersäureeinheiten enthaltender Polyester oder Copolyester.
